LSV Social Impact Demonstrator

The Social Impact Demonstrator (SID) supports social ventures from London’s universities to deliver innovation trials on the Queen Elizabeth Park Innovation District.

LSV is partnering with the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (QEOP) to deliver SID. As one of London’s Innovation Districts, QEOP has a complex ecosystem of assets, a strong network of academic, public, and private institutions, and a long history of innovation in east London.  SID uses the innovation district to support the growth of socially impactful ventures, as well as the delivery of that impact to local communities.

Timeline

What is an Innovation Trial?

SID will support social ventures to develop Innovation Trials using the QEOP Trial Framework. The Framework has been developed through the Park’s innovation projects, such as the Future Industries Demonstrator, supporting delivery of 20 trials since 2024.

Ventures will work with community engagement specialists and local community stakeholders to develop, test, and showcase the social impact of their innovative model, product, or service in live environments with real stakeholders.

What will SID involve?

Successfully selected ventures will receive four workshops, one-to-one mentoring sessions, introductions to local partner organisations, and grant funding of £3,000 to develop and demonstrate their social impact.

The programme will enable ventures to develop new partnerships, demonstrate and evidence impact, achieve commercial objectives, and deliver value to local communities.

    Who should apply?

This initiative is open to social ventures that have emerged from London’s universities.

We’re looking for ventures with a market-ready product or service, or a working version of their product or service that has been tested with users.

Ventures will need to apply to join the programme, demonstrating the scalability and trialability of their solution, as well as the positive social impact on East Londoners.
